This year, over 300 participants gathered in Armenia for the FINTECH360, including representatives from banks, payment systems, money transfer services, as well as startups and leaders from major finance and IT companies. The number of attendees was 1.5 times higher than last year.
The opening ceremony was graced by Hovhannes Khachatryan, Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Armenia, Gagik Zakaryan, Co-founder and Chairman of the Supervisory Board at Unibank, and Daniel Azatyan, Chairman of the Union of Banks of Armenia.
“FINTECH360 is a great opportunity to discuss the sector’s development with leading experts, as well as joint initiatives and projects aimed at advancing financial technologies,” said Hovhannes Khachatryan.
“The digital era brings not only opportunities but also responsibilities. We are faced with the need for dialogue between technology and security, speed and reliability, creativity and regulation. However complex this dialogue may be, it must be held in depth, with responsibility and a vision for the future. The FINTECH360 conference and similar events can certainly serve as platforms for such dialogue, uniting leaders and specialists in the field,” noted Daniel Azatyan.
Gagik Zakaryan, Chairman of the Supervisory Board at Unibank , highlighted that the conference has been held in Yerevan for the past three years. This year’s event was marked by a record level of participation. Experts from 20 countries—including Armenia, Belarus, France, Germany, the UK, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Cyprus, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Moldova, Mongolia, the UAE, Russia, Singapore, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Switzerland, Sweden, and Japan—took part in panel discussions. Over 40 speakers explored key topics in fintech development over the course of two days.
The agenda covered AI applications in financial services, blockchain, cryptocurrency, DeFi and digital assets, international money transfers and payment systems, the impact of hyper-personalization on customer experience, fintech in brokerage services and capital markets, and the digitalization of the insurance sector.
Following the panel discussions, attendees had the opportunity to experience Armenia’s rich history and culture, including a presentation on traditional carpet weaving and a hands-on look at the intricate creation process. Guests also enjoyed a photo session wearing traditional Armenian national costumes.
We sincerely thank all our speakers, attendees, and sponsors for their invaluable contributions in making this event a remarkable success!
