Alexey Maslov worked at American Express from 1992 to 2011. He served as Chairman of the Board of American Express Bank LLC in Russia and led Global Commercial Cards in Russia and the CIS in 2009-2011.

In 2011, he created the National Payment Council Association and served as its first executive director, fostering collaboration between leading players in the payment industry (VISA, MasterCard, American Express) and regulators.

In 2012-2013, he served as an adviser to the First Deputy Chairman of the Bank of Russia.

In 2014-2023, he was Deputy General Director of JCB International LLC (Eurasia) and a member of the Board of Directors and was responsible for business development in Russia and the CIS since the establishment of the JCB office in Russia in 2014.

He has been the Chairman of the SWIFT User Group in Russia since 2013 and the Co-Chairman of the Payment Systems Committee of the Association of Russian Banks. He is the author of the book “Russia and SWIFT” and numerous publications.
